Updates and Research.

January 2009

I first began organizing the small amount of family history I have in January 2009, and began this webpage. At the start, I only had data about my LAWRENCE ancestors as far back as James Campbell LAWRENCE, my Great Great Grandfather. Nothing else.
I have some data that my Grandfather, Daniel Lawrence, and his brother Richard Leslie Lawrence, began gathering in the 1960's, [7] and [11], and that lists a father for James Campbell, so that's my starting place for the Lawrence line.

On my Mom's side, when I began I only knew back to my Mom's Dad! my Grandfather, Edwin Kremer, nothing beyond him.. Talada history is better known, and I got a long list of Talada family information from my Mom. [2] Sister Kelly and Cousin Jennifer have also done extensive Talada research over the last few years, which will be very helpful, and Aunt Donna has also been a huge help with Kremer information..
thank you all!

My Mom also has in her posession a KREMER family bible, which she gave to me,
which contains many Kremer family records, which I will use as the baseline for the start of research on the Kremer line.

The KREMER family Bible belonged to my Great Grandparents
(12) Augustus P. KREMER and his wife (13) Carrie BRADLEY.
The bible was published in 1882.
It was then passed down to their children, their son Edwin (my grandfather) and their daughter Nona. Augustus and his two children Edwin and Nona all personally recorded a LOT of family history in this bible! all kinds of names and dates..The handwritten notes span perhaps 70 years! early 1900's through the 1970's..

April 10, 2009 First cemetery visit for this new Genealogy project of mine..
My Dad and I visited Glenwood Cemetery in Waverly, NY..my home town..
where the final resting place for several LAWRENCE, ACKLES, PERRY, MEADE and DEGROFF ancestors and relatives can be found..

Also went to East Waverly Cemetery, where some HILL's can be found.

(I now live up in Rochester, NY, but my parents are still in Waverly..its convenient that SO many of my ancestors and relatives lived and died locally! ;) Waverly, Sayre & Athens..many are easy to find in local cemeteries..eventually I will have to spread out to farther-flung locations..but for now I have my hands full just staying within the Valley! (and nearby Spencer, NY.)

LAWRENCE
Wow! thanks to the wonders of the internet, I have found a LOT of new information about my Lawrence ancestors! I discovered the amazing webpage of
Paul Edward Lawrence: http://www.lawrencefamhis.com/
Which contains a wealth of data..at first, I didnt know if my Lawrence branch connected to any of his, but I now know we are distantly related! we share a common ancestor, Sir Robert Lawrence, 1371 - 1439. [42]
Sir Robert had 6 Children, one of which, Thomas Lawrence, (born ca. 1410) [42]
is the ancestor of Paul, and another son of Sir Robert, the second Sir Robert, born in 1399, is my ancestor.

Its truly amazing that I could find a living relative, sharing the same last name LAWRENCE, and we have to go back 600 years to match up to common ancestor!

I have not yet emailed Paul, but I plan to do soon..as soon as I can get my Lawrence line fully organized and posted on my webpage, I plan to email Paul and ask his opinion of my conclusions.

July 2-3, 2009 I visited Athens, PA and Spencer, NY cemeteries with my parents, recording a lot of TALADA, TALLADAY, ACKLES and HUGG ancestors and relatives..
photos of the headstones will be on the Cemetery page.

My Mom and I visited Old Riverside Cemetery in Athens, where we found Solomon TALLADAY I, (the first of several Solomon Talliday's) then went to Tioga Point Cemetery to begin recording the huge amount of our TALADA-TALLADAY ancestors and relatives there, and the smaller amount of KREMER ancestors and relatives.

Then my Dad and I drove up to Spencer, NY to visit North Spencer cemetery and Evergreen Cemetery, where many ACKLES and HUGG relatives and ancestors are buried.

July 9, 2009 First uploaded the TALADA page.

TALADA

The Big TALADA Research section:

Wow! within days of uploading my Talada page, and posting it on a few genealogy discussion forums, I got several very helpful emails from other Talada researchers! thank you! :)

I have decided I am going to gather all TALADA email correspondence together into one giant "source"..(it will be my source [123]..its a word document I will just keep adding to..) im not going to post the actual emails on-line..because I dont know if people want their email addresses listed for the world to see.. but I do want to give credit for all the help I am recieving! :) I certainly am not doing this all on my own! :)

So I do plan to archive all the emails into my own collection..and probably decades from now someone in my Talada family will inherit all my sources and notes ..just for History's sake! ;) but for now im simply keeping the notes in my own "off-line" collection..

Much thanks to:

My Mom.
Sister Kelly.
Cousin Jennifer K.
Cousin Lynne.
Aunt Donna.
Grand Aunt Shirley.

And some new relations I have met because of this genealogy project! :)
These are people I would have never even known about if not for putting my Talada information on-line..these are distant-cousins of mine who found my research on-line,
who are all related to or descended from the Talada's in various ways! thanks for all the great correspondence and information! :)

It is my hope that with all this excellent help, we can finally put to rest much of the incorrect data, and work out a big collection of accurate history for our ancestors!

This new correspondence is already bringing to light some interesting facts and theorys..it looks like the TALADA research could get long and complicated!
(which is fine with me!) but how to organize it all??

Rather than clutter up my main TALADA page with a ton of notes, im going to use this "updates-research" page to keep notes and theorys..how about this for an idea:

Text in GREEN will be documented facts..things we know to be true (proven beyond a reasonable doubt) based on actual, reliable sources and documents..such as birth or death records, marriage certificates, etc..

Text in RED will be facts now known to be untrue..based on those same reliable documents..(there is a LOT of Talada data on the internet that is likely wrong..if we can prove some of it is wrong, im going to post it here..)

Text is YELLOW is still speculation, mysteries, unknowns..
Questions I am hoping to eventually answer..

Theory:
Thanks to Don Talada, we have an interesting new idea..
Chloe Couch has been problematic for me.. Right now I have her listed as my (449)
Great Grandmother X6, the wife of the first Solomon TALLADAY. (Lets call him "solomon #1" to keep things straight..) I believe Solomon is my ancestor..and I also believe he had a son, Solomon #2.

Solomon #1 - 1758 - 1839
Solomon #2 - 1778 - 1866.

The dates for the two Solomon's do not conflict..Solomon #1 would have been 20 years old when his son was born..a very reasonable age for the time.

The problem is Solomon #1's wife, Chloe, the presumed mother of Solomon #2.
I have two birth dates for Chloe (neither with source documentation at this time)
one says she was born "abt 1790" and the other says "abt 1784"
[123]
Neither date is confirmed or based on actual documents..as far as I know..
since they say "about"..they are probably "best guesses"

but both guesses are a problem for Solomon #2..because Chloe was born AFTER Solomon #2! she is younger than her presumed son! clearly that cant be right..
there are several options to explain this:

1. Solomon #2 is not the son of Solomon #1 and Chloe COUCH at all..
(some sources [123] list Solomon #2 as the son of Henry TALLADAY)

2. Solomon #2 could be the son of
Solomon #1 and Chloe COUCH, but only if we have incorrect data for Chloe's birth year..(unlikely IMO) (we need to find out where Chloe is buried! see if she has a headstone..that would confirm her birth year)

3. An option I hadnt even considered until Don T's note..Solomon #2 is the son of Solomon #1, but is NOT the son of Chloe COUCH! because Solomon #1 had two wives!

This 3rd theory makes much sense to me..
because Solomon #1 has a lot of children attributed to him, but born over a long span of time!

But!  the true father of Solomon #2 (
born 6 Jan 1778, Green Co, NY) is still uncertain..
I have seen his father listed as both Solomon #1 and Henry Talladay.
It makes sense that Solomon #2 could be Solomon #1's son, just because in that case the son would be named after the father, which of course is very common..
It wouldn't make as much sense that Solomon #2 was Henry's son, unless its also true that Henry and Solomon #1 were brothers (which is another unproven theory),
in which case, Solomon #2, son of Henry, could have been named after his uncle!
I have yet to see any documentation that proves the father one way or the other,
it appears to be only speculation at this point..

Here are some things we can presume are facts about Solomon #1, based on the obituary of his daughter Arietta Lucretia
[107] and other sources.

We know Solomon was born in 1758 and died in 1839. [124]
and that he is buried in Old Riverside Cemetery, Athens, PA. [124]

He was in the Revolutionary War, [107] [124] He was in the Sullivan Campaign of 1779.[107]
And he was one of many of Sullivan's soldiers to return and settle in the area after the campaign. [107]

He settled near the Newtown battlefield and had two daughters, Arietta and Lucretia, who drowned in the Chemung River. [107]

The date for the birth and death of these two early daughters is unknown..but it would have been the 1780's or 1790's..after 1779, but before 1810.

Then his daughter Arietta Lucretia TALLADAY was born, in Athens, in 1810. [107]

There is no mention of a much earlier possible son, Solomon #2, born in 1778...
this would have been just before the Sullivan Campaign of 1779, when Solomon #1 was only 20 years old.

There seems to be no doubt that the twins existed..their younger sister is their namesake..It also seems quite certain that Chloe COUCH can not be the mother of the twins..she would be far too young. (She could be the mother of Arietta Lucretia..just barely.) So it seems highly probable that Solomon had an earlier wife, who would definately be the mother of the drowned twins, and could also be the mother of Solomon #2, if he is in fact Solomon #1's son. This makes a very strong case for the existance of Solomon #1's first wife, who was not Chloe COUCH.

A few items I can confidantly conclude are *not* correct..
Several sources on the internet claim that Arietta Lucretia TALLADAY NORTHRUP,
and her husband Samuel NORTHRUP had children..here is one such example:

Arletta Lucrettia TALLADA and Samuel NORTHRUP had the following children:

                               i.    Ellen NORTHRUP
ii.    Emma C. NORTHRUP (born in 1849).

This is incorrect, based on Arietta Lucretia's very own obituary [107]
Which clearly states "They never had any children"
yes, I suppose its possible obituaries can have errors..but its exteremely unlikely
it would be an error in this case..if you read her whole obituary, its clear she was very well known and very well loved by the community..if she had children, her obituary would have said so! ;) so thats an error we can confidantly fix.

I am going to keep most of the TALADA research in this section, except for
"The great TALLADAY-TALADA spelling mystery!" section, which for now is living on the TALADA page..(I hope its not too confusing having data on two pages..but I felt that ALL the Talada raw data and discussion doesnt really need to clutter up the main TALADa page..which is really the purpose this "research and updates" page..
but the spelling mystery is very Talada-specific, so im keeping that data on the Talada page..someday I might re-organize things if necessary, but for now I think this is the easiest way to handle things..

Update!  July 16, 2009.

Thanks to more research that has been done in the recent past, (last 5-10 years) by other Talada family researchers, who have shared the information with me, (thank you!) I can
also add another bit of factual information, that was previously uncertain..

When I began this page, I had my Great Grandmother X 4 listed as (113) Polly JONES.
wife of (112) William TALLADAY.
I now know this is incorrect, and she was in fact Polly NORTHRUP.
This is thanks to  pension records discovered by Nancy P. , which prove she was
Polly NORTHRUP:

Nancy P. located two pension records and a death record:

[172] The first  is the pension record for Abbie TALADA JONES RUGGLES.
Abbie's maiden name was TALADA, and she was married twice, to Sanford JONES
and to Samuel/Solomon RUGGLES. Abbie was the daughter of William TALADA and Polly NORTHRUP. In this pension record, Arietta Lucretia NORTHRUP testifies that Polly NORTHRUP TALADA and her husband, Samuel NORTHRUP, are brother and sister.

[173] A second pension record is from Polly NORTHRUP TALLADAY herself,
which Polly filed after her son William died in the Civil War. In this record Polly states
that she married William TALLADAY under her maiden name, Polly NORTHRUP.

[174] And a third document uncovered by Nancy P., the death record for Abbie RUGGLES, which states Abbie's parents were William TALADA and Polly NORTHRUP.

So thats three different actual documents, that clearly state that William TALLADAY
married Polly NORTHRUP! case closed! :)

Fact:
William Talladay, born 1806, Towanda, PA.
Married Polly NORTHRUP,
born 1807, Towanda, PA.

Incorrect: William TALLADAY married Polly JONES.

I dont have a copy of the actual documents..if anyone would be willing to scan them I would appreciate it! I'm curious if Abbie's name is actually spelled TALADA on them,
and not TALLADAY. (when I receive information, I will share the data with the spellings as I received them..I wont make spelling corrections to the raw data.)

If Abbie's maiden name was in fact spelled TALADA, then perhaps it was William, and not his son Augustus Solomon, who changed the spelling from TALLADAY to TALADA? (which would move the "spelling change" up a generation from where I currently have it.)

Update!  July 16, 2009.

I updated my pedigree charts on the webpage and changed Polly JONES
to Polly NORTHRUP.

Also first uploaded this very page, the updates & research page.

Update, May 26, 2010.

(I had this info on the Talada page originally..I decieded to move it here)

TALADA unsolved mysteries..and an attempt to solve them.

Conflicting TALLADAY - TALADA Internet information!

And man oh man, is there a TON of it!

The internet is an amazing and useful thing for Genealogy research, its a fabulous tool!
but it also has a dark side..once something incorrect gets recorded somewhere, the internet allows it to spread exponentially, and the incorrect information ends up in hundreds of collections..

The Talladay - Talada information on-line is the most screwed up, conflicting and confused bunch of data I have ever seen..its just a mess..Im sure some of it is correct, but much is also incorrect..the trick is figuring out which is which! ;)

This section will attempt to clear up much of the confusing and conflicting information I have found on the internet. I dont yet have all the answers myself! ;) there is a lot I still dont know. But I hope to use this section to posibly clear up a lot of mysteries, based on good sources, which will benefit the many of us doing Talada family research..If you have anything to add, please email me so we can discuss it! :) (email link is at the bottom of this page..)

Im not claiming to have all the answers..I certaintly dont! but with the help of many other researchers, (who have already been a HUGE help! thank you!) and locating and sharing good sources, it is my hope this mess can eventually be all straightened out..

I have come across quite a bit of confusing and conflicting information on the internet concerning these Talladay's, I think because there were so many "Solomon Talladay's"! (there are at least three of them! possibly four! the first Solomon and several of his descendants..) it seems some of the Solomon's get easily confused with others.

Also, according to information on the internet, (always taken with a grain of salt)
It seems there were two different William Talladay's who each married a woman named "Polly"!
One William Talladay married a Polly Northrup, and another William Talladay married a Polly Jones. (or it could be an error, and there was only one William TALLADAY and his wife Polly NORTHRUP, and Polly JONES could be a mistake for Polly NORTHRUP's name..see the updates page for more info.)

There was also a Polly Talada who married a John Northrup!
Like the many different Solomon's, it seems we also have several different Polly's in the tree..and it looks like at least four different Talada's married four different Northrup's!
which makes all kinds of room for errors in that convoluted mix..

And yet more possibly incorrect internet data..I came across one or two on-line family trees of  people who believe they might be a descendent of Arietta Lucretia (Talada) Northrup, daughter of the first Solomon Talladay, (I mentioned Arietta Lucretia above.) But according to the actual obituary of Arietta Lucretia [107], she and her husband, Samuel Northrop, had no children! So if you have Arietta Lucretia TALADA (born 1810, died 1908) and her husband Samuel NORTHRUP listed as direct ancestors, there is perhaps something wrong somewhere in your data..you are probably still a descendent of the Tallada's, just not Arietta Lucretia specifically.

And some sites say the first Solomon was born in Connecticut, not Holland, and is the son of a mysterious Henry Talladay..this is also possibly incorrect..again, im basing this on source [107], the actual printed obituary of Arietta Lucretia (Talada) Northrup from 1908, which says: "Her father, Solomon Tallada, was a native of Holland."
To me, a printed obituary is pretty conclusive..So "Henry" remains a mystery, for now..

hold on..I did find a reference to a Henry TALLADAY of Wysox, PA. [108]
Is he part of my Talladay line? it remains unknown for now..but based on the dates, it appears that Henry and Solomon could have been brothers! "My" Solomon was born in 1758, believed born in Holland. this is the Solomon that is my ancestor, the Revolutionary war soldier, buried in Athens, PA. The oldest known patriarch of my
TALLADAY line.

Henry TALLADAY appears to be an ancestor of the Northrup's of Bradford County, PA. Henry had a daughter Aletha TALLADAY born in 1775, (Aletha married James S. Northrup, born 1771) which would place Henry about the same age as Solomon! unconfirmed that they are brothers, but its possible...or, they could be unrelated, and their descendents are still getting mixed up today, because they lived around the same time and place. (its quite likely they are related however..I just havent worked out the exact relationships yet)

As you can see, the internet data on the Talladay's is just a mess!
It is my goal to try to straighten it all out.

I can't say for certain that my current pedigree chart is 100% correct, but it's as correct as I can make it with the
information I currently have..and all the dates make sense (parent birth dates to children birth dates) so im semi-confidant its correct, although certain sections are still in doubt (such as exactly how Lewis & Minnie were related).. corrections are always welcome! Im very interested in chatting and sharing information with any other TALADA-TALLADAY researchers out there, and there seems to be a lot of us! (as I said..its a BIG family!)

Im 90% sure all of the above is 80% correct..if anyone can clarify any of that, or if you have any comments, questions or corrections, please email me!

But since I dont yet know everything that is correct, and what is not, im going to use a color-key to attempt to keep things straight..(I use this for my own sanity as well as an attempt at an organizational tool! ;)

Text in GREEN will be documented facts..things we know to be true (proven beyond a reasonable doubt) based on actual, reliable sources and documents..such as birth or death records, marriage certificates, census records, etc..I will attempt to only use green if I have a good primary source.

Text in RED will be facts now known to be untrue..based on those same reliable documents.

Text is YELLOW/Orange is still speculation, mysteries, unknowns..
Questions I am hoping to eventually answer..

(Text in Grey is just me rambling ;)

So lets just dive in:

1. Solomon TALLADAY the 1st. Where was he born?
We have two conflicting answers..Holland and Connecticut.

Fact - He was born in March 1758, and died in February 1839.
[500] Highslide JS
Fact - He was a Revolutionary War soldier, and served with General Sullivan's campaign in 1779.

[107] [500]

Fact - He is buried in Old Riverside Cemetery, Athens, PA. [500]

Fact - He settled near the Newtown battlefield and had two daughters, Arietta and Lucretia,
who  drowned in the Chemung River.
[107]

Fact - He had at least three daughters, Arietta, Lucretia, Arietta Lucretia, and a son who
            served in the Civil War.
[107]

I consider a printed obituary a good source. It is possible for an obit to contain incorrect information, but its quite unlikely. Based on Arietta Lucretia's obituary [107] t

2. Henry TALLADAY..how is he related to Solomon I?
Henry is a very uncertain character..He is listed as an ancestor of the Northrup clan of Bradford County, PA, which I have no reason to doubt..but his exact position on the family tree is very unclear.

I have seen Henry & Solomon I's relationship described in three different ways!
1. Solomon I is Henry's son.
2. Henry is Solomon I's son!
3. Solomon I and Henry were brothers.

Personally I believe theory 3 is the most likely, based on birth date evidence.
[500] Solomon I was born in 1758.

Based on that, it possible they might have been brothers, and it is likely one was not the father of the other..although I cant yet prove this definitivetly..
I suspect I am descended from Solomon I, but not Henry.

3. An amazing multitude of Polly's and NORTHRUP's
(Polly being a first name, NORTHRUP being a surname)
The TALLADAY and the NORTHRUP familys of Bradford county, PA are quite intermixed in the 19th century! Multiple Talada's married multiple Northrup's..and there is a bizzare collection of people with the first name "Polly" mixed up in this business! ;)

[108] Polly TALLADAY, daughter of Henry TALLADAY, married John NORTHRUP.
(I have no reason to dount this, although I have no primary sources)

LAWRENCE

On August 16, 2009, my Dad passed away..
unexpected, at the young age of 68.

Eventually I will write a lot about my Dad and his life on the Lawrence page, when I get to the Family Group Sheet for my Parents..for now, Im not in the mood to write much, so I will simply post his obituary.

Erin (2 years old) asked "where Grandpa?"
"Grandpa has gone bye-bye..with Haggis"
(Haggis the dog, died about a week before my Dad..
August 2009 was a very sad month.)

I don't know what it was that made me start this Genealogy project in January 2009..
perhaps it was turning 40? perhaps a nudge from God? (who knew what was coming, while I didnt).. I dont know..but something made me start this project just a few months before my Dad died..coincidence? maybe, maybe not..

I had my Grandfather Lawrence's small amount of Family tree data packed away for decades, ever since he passed away in 1987..it was always in the back of my mind, for the last 20 years, to "get going" on this, but I didn't do anything with it until this year..Little did I know when I started asking my Dad about family history, I would only have a few more months with him..Im glad we got to out to visit the cemeterys together! We went to the two Waverly cemeterys to research the Lawrence's and Hill's, and up to Spencer, NY for the Ackles and Hugg's..My Dad was able to tell me a lot about our ancestors I wouldnt have known otherwise! and I know he really enjoyed learning a lot about his ancestors that *he* never knew..things I had turned up in the last few months, such as our Lawrence history from England.

Moral of this story? If you are thinking about beginning to research your own family tree, interview your parents and Grandparents while you still can! dont wait!

More about my Dad will eventually be posted on my Lawrence page..
probably later this winter.

KREMER
Began working on the Kremer page!

Concerning our (presumed) ancestor Jacob KREMER, who it is said arrived on the ship "Palatines", at
Philadelphia, on October 10, 1749..
I have a suspicion that might not be correct. (although it could be)
Im doubtful (about the ships name) because I can find no other reference to a ship of that name, or that date, except for that one source
[177]

I am however still confidant that Jacob is Peter's father, based on other sources.
what is in question is exactly when Jacob arrived in America, on what ship and what date, and who Jacob's father was.

More good info on
Palatinate immigrant ships can be found here:
http://www.progenealogists.com/palproject/
and here:
http://www.palam.org/

More research to be done..
September 9, 2009 I added new navigation buttons to the top and bottom of every page..
something I felt was needed for "ease of use" of my genealogy pages..

October 9, 2009 I added some new information to the main page, about pedigree charts and such,
and more of a general introduction to "genealogy principals" that I am attempting to follow.

November 12, 2009 Uploaded the KREMER page!, the first of the eight family pages that is "complete" in the sense that I have uploaded all the information I currently have on the Kremer line!
(of course its not complete in the sense that I will always be looking for more information!)

Also I added more photos to the Cemetery page.

April 1, 2010 Cousin Jennifer visited Union Hill Cemetery in Mehoopany, PA, thanks Jen!
This visit was very important, because it confirmed that our Great X3 Grandfather (56) Augustus Solomon TALADA and his wife (57) Clarinda MOREY were in fact using the spelling TALADA..which is a major clue for the whole TALLIDAY-TALADA spelling mystery. This helps confirm that it was very likely Augustus Solomon's father, William, who was probably the person who first changed the spelling from Talliday to Talada.
Jen's photos will be posted soon on the
Cemetery page.

July 10, 2010
Did a second visit to Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, this time with a whole bunch of cousins and relatives! Attending were: Aunt Donna, Cousin Paul Kremer, Cousins Lynne & Keeley, and a surprise visit by cousin Robin, her husband Bob, and several of their kids! also my Mom, and myself..about 12 people! it was a nice group..everyone descended from and interested in the Taladas..(and the Kremers..some of us are descended from the Kremers, but all of us are descended from the Taladas) We recorded a lot of stones! several of which no one had seen before..notably Augustus and Alace Talada, Lewis's parents, and the elusive Lodeska! who has thrown quite a wrench in the Talladay-Talada spelling mystery! Lodeska, being Minnie's mother, I fully expected should have been a Talliday..but she isnt! she is a TALADA! which was most unexpected, and rather than helping clear up the spelling mystery, actually ADDS to it!  Now it makes little sense that Minnie is a Talliday..More on this cemetery visit, and all the ramifications, will be posted soon on the Talada page, and all the photos will go on the cemetery page.

July 12, 2010 While digging into some data that the Cemetery visit unconvered, I found a great new source! Source [291]
"THE SPARKSES OF NEW ENGLAND by Thomas F. and Virginia N. Howard."
which is an excellent and highly detailed genealogy of the SPARKS family.
Our TALADA line ties into the SPARKS line through our ancestor Polly NORTHRUP, wife of William TALADA. (On the Pedigree charts, follow Lewis Talada to Northrup then Sparks) Based on this information, I was able to add a large amount of data for Polly Northrup's ancestors, who of course are our Talada ancestors as well! I updated Polly's pedigree charts with the new information..and discovered we have an ancestor who was accused of being a witch during the Salem Witch Trials of 1692!  Martha Sparks,
my Great X9 Grandmorther , was jailed for a year, and eventually released. See source [291] for more information. I plan to dig into Martha's story in more detail, see if she shows up in any books on the Salem With Trials.
thank you Thomas and Virginia for such a great SPARKS family history!

2012 - 2016
A four-year pause in Genealogy research took place! :o   I last worked on these genealogy webpages in early 2012, and picked back up again in May 2016. Why the four year pause? It was because of Kodak! ;) I worked at Kodak in Rochester for 17 years, 1995 to 2012, but I was laid off in the Spring of 2012. I immediately made the choice to go back to school to re-train for a new career. I attended MCC in Rochester for 2 years, 2012 to 2014, to get a new degree in Computer Systems Technology. I then found a new job! in the summer of 2014. Then I spent two more years studying for Cisco certifications. So all hobbies went on-hold for 4 years, simply because I didnt have time for them..which included all genealogy, all other webpages, and the garden railroad. But now, im back! :)
May 2016 Started working on these webpages again:
- Updated the information for Glenn Talada's wife. [410]
- Created new navigation buttons for all pages.
- Created new "Ackles", "Veterans" and "Famous!" pages, and got them started.
- added many new updates to the "Sources" page.
- Sad updates. Four relatives have passed away since 2012. I added obituaries and updated information for Aunt Shirley, Aunt Donna & Uncle Larry, and cousin Bonnie. [413] [414] [415] [416]
