We are a group of "small scale" live steam enthusiasts, from various areas around
Central NY, Western NY, and Southern Ontario, who get together several times a year
for "steamups"! 

We are not an "official" club..there are no dues, no officers, none of that.
We just like to get together to run trains!

Anyone is welcome at the steamups. have an engine to run?
bring it over and boil some water!
just want to stop by to watch trains? thats fine too! 

We operate "G gauge" live steam locomotives, operating on 45mm track.
(we often have 32mm track available as well.)

"Live Steam" means that these models are powered by fire and water! just like full-size steam locomotives. Various types of fuel (butane, alcohol, even real coal!) heats up the water in the boiler, the heated water turns to steam, the expanding steam pushes the pistons in  the cylinders, which then turn the wheels! no electricity needed!

Finger Lakes Live Steamers hosts Upstate New York Garden Railway Clubs picnic.
If you would like to come out and run live steam on the elevated Gauge One track and socialize with garden railroaders from Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse please attend this.  Club is open for visitors from 10-4 and lunch is at 1:30.  Contact Roger Caiazza if interested.

 

June 22-24
Finger Lakes Live Steamers Spring Open House. 
If you would like to come out and run live steam on the elevated Gauge One track to entertain public visitors you would be more than welcome.  Open House runs 10 - 4 on Saturday and Sunday.  Contact Roger Caiazza if interested.

Finger Lakes Live Steamers Model Railroader Run Day.
If you would like to come out and run live steam on the elevated Gauge One track to entertain model railroaders you are welcome.  Contact Roger Caiazza if interested.

 

August 3 -5
Finger Lakes Live Steamers Summer Invitational.
If you would like to come out and run live steam on the elevated Gauge One track you are welcome to attend. This meet is not open to the general public and limited to those with an interest in miniature railroading.  Contact Roger Caiazza if interested.

 

September 21-23
